Selkent Shield Finalists
Two Junior Reds teams represented the Club in the "Bob Staggs" Memorial Shield Finals played today, and had mixed fortunes. The Under 12 (Valiants), managed by Euan Leslie, were first on against Russellers. Showing a few nerves the team unfortunately could not reproduce the form of the League and finished as Runners-up against stronger opposition on the day. Euan said "the lads are naturally disappointed but must not forget the tremendous season this year".
The Under 13 (Valiants) enjoyed greater success finishing 2-1 winners against Dartford FC White from the "A" Division. This was an excellent team performance in a very tense and exciting match. Assistant Manager Jon Meager said " this is our first real success and a fine way to finish the season".
Well done to both teams for reaching the final. Four Junior Reds teams have been finalists this year which is a record.
